Sustainable Development Goals Competition

1st May 2017

At Holymead we have been learning about the sustainable Development Goals.

The aim from ‘World Commission of Environment and development 1987’ says that we need:

'Sustainable development that meets the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs'.

Do you consider yourself to be a global citizen? Here are some of the key concepts and values:

Fairness (social justice)

Diversity

Respect

Empathy and care

Self esteem

Interdependence

Human rights

Conflict resolution

Sustainable development

We held a competition focussing on each goal. Every Year group picked a winner from Reception all the way through to Year 6. Take a look at their FANTASTIC work!
