E-Safety

As a Rights Respecting School we are keen to ensure that whilst our children fulfil their rights to get and share information (CRC article 13), they can do this safely and securely whilst being respectful to others they may communicate with online. Technology and the Internet is a fantastic resource that we want our children to enjoy and learn from. Supporting our children to use the Internet safely is a priority. The children at Holymead learn about how to stay safe online throughout their time at Holymead.

In Term 4 e-safety workshops were held for all of our parents on the KS2 site. If you were unable to make this meeting, you can use the attached UNICEF's (in conjunction with BT) supportive materials to support you in how to keep your children safe online. If you would like any further advice. don't hesitate to speak to your child's class teacher.
