We had our latest Ofsted Report in September 2023. Inspectors found that Holymead continues to be a Good school.
 
What Ofsted said about our school:
 
  • Pupils feel valued and are enthusiastic about the opportunities to develop their knowledge.
  • Pupils appreciate the variety of experiences they have in the classroom and beyond.
  • Pupils thrive , both academically and personally in this environment.
  • Pupils are happy and feel safe.
  • The school provides a variety of experiences for pupils to develop their talents and interests .
  • Pupils are enthusiastic about participating in clubs, such as football, cricket and choir . 
  • A sharp focus on reading runs throughout the school.
  • The school is highly inclusive.
  • Pupils with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND) are well supported. 
  • Underpinning the curriculum are the carefully considered threads of responsibility, life skills and cultural awareness. The school has engaged with parents and the community
  • Staff are proud to be part of the school. They say that the school has a tangible sense of ‘community'.
