Online Safety Information

As a Rights Respecting School, we are keen to ensure that whilst our children fulfil their rights to get and share information (CRC article 13), they can do this safely and securely whilst being respectful to others they may communicate with online.

Being online is an integral part of children's and young people’s lives. Social media, online games, websites and apps can be accessed through mobile phones, computers, laptops and tablets – all of which form a part of children's and young people’s online world. The internet and online technology provides new opportunities for young people’s learning and growth, but it can also expose them to new types of risks. (NSPCC learning)

Technology and the Internet is a fantastic resource that we want our children to enjoy and learn from. Supporting our children to use the Internet safely is a priority. The children at Holymead learn about how to stay safe online throughout their time at Holymead.
