Reception have been learning about animals and their different habitats. We have explored the polar regions, the African savannah, under the sea, woodland areas, and farm environments. The children have been thinking about the types of habitats these animals live in and discussing how they are similar or different. They have also been working hard to create fact books about the animals. This week, the children have begun building dioramas of a chosen habitat, thinking carefully about which materials best represent the features found there.
