Friends of Holymead Primary School

Welcome to the Friends of Holymead Primary School!

Friends of Holymead Primary School work hard to support the children’s education and overall learning experience. All parents and carers of children at Holymead are automatically part of the Friends group — it’s entirely up to you how involved you’d like to be.

We organise a wide range of fundraising activities throughout the year, including cake sales, card and tea towel fundraisers, plant and uniform sales, face painting, ice cream sales, and sponsored events… the list goes on!

In previous years, we have raised between £8,000 and £14,000 annually. Every penny raised goes directly back into the school to support things such as playground and sports equipment, Christmas activities, art supplies, books, curriculum resources, discos, and visiting theatre groups.

Friends of Holymead Primary School is a registered charity and is run by a committee made up of the following roles:

● Chair: Beccy Hastie

● Vice Chair: Zoe Mumford

● Treasurer: Jo Atherton

● Co-Secretary: Roxy Taylor

● Co-Secretary: George Newman-Pope

● Community Voice: Amy Abrahams

● Community Voice: Miri Ferencz

● Community Voice: Sarah Paine

We meet approximately once per term, usually in the infant site staffroom, to discuss funding requests from the school and to plan upcoming fundraising events.

We are always looking for volunteers to help in lots of different ways. Please keep an eye on the school newsletter and our Facebook page for opportunities to get involved.

You can find us on Facebook by searching “Friends of Holymead Primary School Bristol.” If you’re not already a member, simply send a request to join. We also have a friendly WhatsApp community where we share meeting minutes and plan future fundraising activities.
